About me

Hello, I’m Claire Stable, a wellness therapist, yoga teacher, and passionate traveller, now based in the stunning town of Lagos in the Algarve, Portugal. I spent 20 years living in Paris, a vibrant and inspiring city, but after becoming a mother to my lovely son in 2018, my way of contemplating life shifted. I realised I wanted a deeper connection with nature and a better quality of life for my family. This change in perspective led my husband and me to make a bold decision—to leave Paris and embrace a new life in Lagos, where we could be closer to Mother Earth and experience a slower, more fulfilling pace of life.

Before this life change, I studied advertising in Paris and later followed my passion for the arts by completing a full three-year professional training as an actress at the renowned Cours Florent theatre and cinema school. After working as an actress for a few years, I began to feel drawn to a different path—one focused on wellness, particularly the power of Chinese medicine, Shiatsu, and foot reflexology. I was intrigued by the possibility of helping others heal and decided I wanted to work for myself, to be free and independent in my practice.

My shift into wellness wasn’t just a career change; it felt like a true calling.

As I began practising Shiatsu and reflexology, I quickly saw impressive results in my clients. This early success confirmed that this was my life path, my purpose. Helping people heal through energy healing became not just a profession but a rewarding passion that fills me with a deep sense of fulfillment every day.

At Le Dôme in Lagos, Algarve, I integrate body psychology into my Shiatsu and reflexology treatments, creating a truly holistic experience for each of my clients. Every session is carefully personalized to address your unique concerns and needs. By combining the wisdom of traditional healing methods with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, I aim to provide more than just physical relief. My goal is to help you find emotional and mental balance while alleviating tension and stress. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or working through deeper challenges, my personalized approach offers a supportive and nurturing space for your journey to well-being.

One of my greatest passions is helping people find their own path—their true story, beyond what they’ve been told. I am fascinated by the journey of human beings and love guiding others to uncover their inner truth, understanding who they really are.

This personal and professional growth eventually led to the creation of The Dome, a wellness center where I offer Shiatsu, yoga, and reflexology in the peaceful setting of Lagos. I have always been passionate about exploring the world and discovering new cultures, and my travels to places like Bali, Sri Lanka, India, and of course, Portugal, have deeply influenced my approach to well-being and mindfulness. Each destination has taught me something unique about the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and I love bringing those global perspectives into my work at The Dome.

I am a certified Vinyasa yoga instructor, having completed a 200-hour course recognised by Yoga Alliance with Laurence Schroeder and Deepu Kumar, alongside additional certifications in Yin yoga, with Cécile Roubaud, postnatal yoga, with de Gasquet and Fiona Imeneo. I trained in Shiatsu under the guidance of the renowned Michel Odoul at the French Institute of Shiatsu in Paris and studied gentle South African foot reflexology with Elske Miles at the French Institute of Reflexology. Through these diverse disciplines, I aim to offer comprehensive support, helping my clients release physical and emotional tension.

I am particularly passionate about decoding body language in connection with Chinese medicine, an essential part of my understanding of the human body’s intricate communication system. I believe well-being is not just about physical health but about embracing the deeper relationship between the body and the mind.

At The Dome, I lead a variety of yoga classes and offer tailored Shiatsu treatments and reflexology sessions. Our wellness centre also offers Pilates, wellness workshops, and transformative retreats in Portugal's serene Algarve region. These retreats provide participants with the space and time to reconnect with themselves and rediscover balance.

My passion for travel has not only enriched my personal life but also inspired me to create transformative yoga retreats in some of the most beautiful locations around the world. I have organised retreats in France and internationally, including Bali, India, and Sri Lanka—places where I have had the privilege of immersing myself in local healing traditions and mindfulness practices. These retreats are a wonderful opportunity for participants to deepen their yoga practice, unwind, and discover new perspectives.

When I’m not teaching or practicing, you’ll find me enjoying the natural beauty of the Algarve through mountain hikes or coastal walks. I also have a deep love for animals, sharing my life with a dog and two cats who keep me grounded and full of joy. I love going to the cinema or catching a theater performance when I can.

My work reflects my holistic approach to health and well-being. I’m committed to helping others find peace, strength, and clarity, whether they’re locals in Lagos or travelers seeking healing in the Algarve. I invite you to join our community at The Dome, experience the healing power of Shiatsu, yoga, and reflexology, and perhaps embark on a life-changing retreat with me, whether here in Portugal or in one of the many beautiful places around the world that inspire me.
